@ancfra Using a clients gold is a great way to preserve the sentimental value of their gold. The rings can be made to the clients own specifications.
We are able to resize the ring afterwards, no problem, using a wedding ring stretcher and reducer if need be.
Sure there are easier ways but lets recycle the old gold, its much cheaper these days what with gold price as it now.
crapy way to make a ring….lol that ring cant be reduced or resized…….it can be but heavy…plenty of easier ways to make a ring…but guy knows respect
imo this method seems a lot cooler than lost wax method because you do everything by hand.
@bettyswolloks2 Also dont for get that too much oxygen will impart porosity within the metal when you are melting it, causing problem later in the manufacturing process. Thanks for the advice though.
@bettyswolloks2 Its the brightness of the flame that gives that impression. If you look closer to the tip is the nozzel you can see that its a neutralising flame.
Thanks
Interesting to watch. Its always great to see a craft. Can I ask why you use a carburising flame when heating the gold ? Adding a touch more oxygen would give you a neutral flame and the maximum temperature and therefore reduce time.
Great Dear Master A Berry, great job, its live posessing magic in your fingers, God bless you

It takes approx 20 minutes to make one ring from start to finish. Thanks
It would take more time to make the mold and you would have to make different sized molds depending on the finger size.
