@Trenasist they use grinding wheels coated with quartz and diamond grit. In other words diamond cant be but by anything exept itself.
@Trenasist I think they use another diamond to cut it. Like, they spin a diamond round (the one to be cut) and hold another uncut diamond up against it and that cuts it. I’m not sure though, so don’t take my word on it. I’ve spent the last 30 minutes looking for a decent explanation on Youtube.
